Gecko Touch Rugby
A new Junior & Social Touch Rugby club in Bristol
Gecko Touch Rugby gives juniors & teens the opportunity to learn and play the sport of Touch. Currently, the club is running free sessions once or twice a week.
NEXT SESSION: Year 8&9 Thursday 22 April 4.30-5.30pm
We play on the Downs in North Bristol.

Touch rugby (aka Touch) is a fast-paced, minimal-contact team sport with the oval ball, passing backwards and try-scoring features of rugby. It is easy to learn and suitable for mixed-age, mixed-gender games.
Touch is a sport with its own governing body with regular European and World Championships. The main senior club in Bristol is the Bristol Jets who compete in national tournaments and feed into national and regional representative sides (The South West Saxons)

We started running sessions as soon as we came out of lockdown- having been permitted to return to play by the England Touch Association. If you want to take part, please hit the button below to register interest.
The club & sessions are run by an England Touch Association school development officer and ETA-qualified coach.
Sessions approx 1hr-1.5hrs.
Open to boys & girls
Current Year 8, 9 & 10
Sessions on the Downs (Henleaze/Westbury side)
Grippy shoes recommended (mouldies/astros/studs even better)
No special kit needed
All other kit (bibs, balls, cones) provided.

The club is run by an ETA Schools Development Officer and qualified coach with appropriate insurance, first-aid training and DBS checks. Please request details of these if required.
